The Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical Institute (GNBVTI) has launched the EMT program and it is still open for enrollment for our spring semester. The EMT post-secondary program is aimed at training highly qualified professionals in the Emergency Medical Technician Program. Using its state of the art ambulance simulator, and a variety of other medical training equipment, students enrolled in the program will obtain the necessary knowledge needed to pursue a career as a full time EMT. Students will become skilled in symptom recognition and in all emergency care procedures and techniques currently considered to be within the responsibilities of an EMT providing emergency care with an ambulance service.

  • The course is taught by Dave Zander on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-9:30 pm and alternate Saturdays from 8:00-4:00 pm. The course will run for 13 weeks from January 14-April 18, 2020.
  • The district price for this course is $1,100 and non-district is $1,200. The test fees are not included in this pricing.
