At Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, we believe that seeking input from experts in their respective areas is the best way to prepare our students for the future.
To accomplish this each of our Career and Technical areas has a Program Advisory Committee (PAC). The PAC committee meets a minimum of twice a year typically in October and April. These committees consist of experts in their trade areas and representatives from higher education, Person with Disabilities, Racial or Linguistic Minorities, Non-Traditional by Gender, Organized Labor, Registered Apprenticeships, Parent/Guarding, and Students.
The responsibility of PAC is to advise, assist and support school personnel in order to improve planning, operation, and evaluation in its program area.
Additionally, we have a General Advisory Committee (GAC) which is comprised of the chairperson from each of the PACs. Their responsibilities are to meet with the school committee and provide an update on equipment needs, and evaluate the curricula of each of the individual programs in the district.
