The Standard Times recognizedSarah-Yvonne Doyle as the 2017 SouthCoast Youth of the Year.Sarah-Yvonne is a seventeen-year-old high school junior, in the Diesel Service Technology career major at GNBVT, and one of the most active volunteers in the South Coast. She started two initiatives to help the soldiers station far from home feel supported by the local civilians that they protect. Her two programs are Operation Care Package and Military Pen Pal. Her passion and drive to her community activism is rooted in her family and the early exposure to volunteering that she had in the Girl Scouts.
