Hello Bear Family,
I hope everyone is enjoying the spirit of the season, wishing you all a fun, safe, and Happy Halloween!
Looking ahead to next week, I’m excited to share that we’ll be hosting a special community screening of the documentary “Can’t Look Away” on Wednesday, November 6th at 6:00 p.m. Led by Maria DeMello in tandem with New Bedford Public Schools. This powerful and eye-opening film explores the impact of technology and social media on the lives of children and teens.
As we all know, the internet connects us in amazing ways—but it can also expose young people to serious dangers, including exploitation, substance use, and harmful content. This screening is a great opportunity for us, as educators, parents, caregivers, and community members, to come together and learn how we can better protect and guide our children in this digital age. I encourage everyone to attend and be part of this important conversation.
Lastly, please remember that Tuesday, November 4th is a full-day In-Service Day for staff. Students will not have school on that day.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement in our school community. We look forward to seeing many of you at the screening next week!
With appreciation,
Warley J. Williams, III
Principal
