TITLE I

GNBVT meets the requirements to receive Title I funding under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The primary goal of Title I is to ensure that all children meet challenging academic standards by:

• Strengthening core programs
• Providing evidence based support for struggling learners
• Improving instruction through professional development
• Engaging parents as active partners in their children’s education

At GNBVT we allocate our Title I funding in to support the following:

• Offering tutoring through our Library Resource Center
• Targeted MCAS Support Initiatives
• Hiring qualified teachers who hold the appropriate MA DESE Educator License
• Supporting students facing homelessness
• Professional development
• English Learner After School Programs
• Parent Engagement Activities
• Having a DEI & Community specialist on staff
