TITLE I
GNBVT meets the requirements to receive Title I funding under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The primary goal of Title I is to ensure that all children meet challenging academic standards by:
- Strengthening core programs
- Providing evidence based support for struggling learners
- Improving instruction through professional development
- Engaging parents as active partners in their children’s education
At GNBVT we allocate our Title I funding in to support the following:
- Offering tutoring through our Library Resource Center
- Targeted MCAS Support Initiatives
- Hiring qualified teachers who hold the appropriate MA DESE Educator License
- Supporting students facing homelessness
- Professional development
- English Learner After School Programs
- Parent Engagement Activities
- Having a DEI & Community specialist on staff
