Dear GNBVT Community,
I would like to congratulate all of our outstanding students who earned all A’s in every class during Trimester 1 and achieved placement on the Principal’s List. It has been an incredible honor to recognize these students and present them with their certificates. Their dedication, work ethic, and commitment to excellence truly reflect the high standards of our school community.
I also want to share my excitement for our 9th-grade students who will soon be selecting their permanent shops. So many of them have worked incredibly hard to earn the grades needed to pursue their program of choice, and I am proud of the effort they have shown throughout this important process. I look forward to seeing them placed and continuing their journey here at GNBVT.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our students and school. Have a great weekend.
Warm regards,
Principal Williams

Dear Staff, Parents/Guardians, and Families,
Welcome back and happy New Year! As we begin this new term together, we want to take a moment to reaffirm our shared commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment for every member of our school community.
Our school is committed to ensuring that all students, staff, and families feel respected, valued, and supported. Harassment, discrimination, and bullying—whether based on race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic—have no place at GNBVT.
We also remain fully committed to compliance with Title IX and all civil rights laws that protect students and staff from discrimination and harassment. Any concerns related to sexual misconduct, harassment, or discrimination should be reported promptly so that they may be addressed appropriately and with care.
Creating a positive school climate is a shared responsibility. We encourage open communication, mutual respect, and active partnership among staff, students, and families. If you or your child needs support or has concerns, please reach out to a trusted staff member or school administrator. You can also contact Yolanda Dennis, Executive Director of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Compliance at x563 or email yolanda.dennis@gnbvt.edu or Maria deMelo, DEI & Community Specialist at x752 or email maria.demelo@gnbvt.edu.
Thank you for your continued collaboration and dedication to making our school a place where everyone feels safe, welcome, and empowered to succeed. We look forward to a productive and positive term ahead.
“When everyone is included, everyone wins.” ~ Jesse Jackson

2:45-3:45 pm, in the Auditorium
Attention all students: Unplug, unwind, and find your flow! After a long week of classes, homework, and nonstop demands, the Yoga Club is your chance to reset. Whether you’ve never tried yoga before or already love it, this is a chill, judgment-free space to stretch, breathe, and move at your own pace. No pressure, no competition…just good vibes, calming music, and time to feel better in your body and mind. The Yoga Club meets every Thursday in the Auditorium and is open to everyone. You don’t need to be flexible, athletic, or “good at yoga” to join. Just show up as you are. Come hang out with friends, reduce stress, boost focus, and leave feeling more relaxed than when you walked in. Give it a try. Your brain (and your body) will thank you! Contact Mrs. Dube in room B233 with any questions or just show up Thursday!

Dear Families and Staff, As we move further into the winter season, health officials across Massachusetts are reporting very high levels of flu activity statewide. This increase has led to serious illness among both children and adults. Because the flu spreads easily in school settings, we are continuing our efforts to keep our community healthy and safe. How You Can Help Prevent the Flu
- Get vaccinated: Annual flu vaccination is the best protection. It is recommended for everyone 6 months and older.
- Stay home when sick: Students and staff with flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, fatigue) should remain home.
- Practice good hygiene: Frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitizer help reduce the spread of germs.
- Cover coughs and sneezes: Use a tissue or elbow and dispose of tissues properly.
- Clean shared surfaces: Regular cleaning of frequently touched areas helps limit spread.
- Consider masks when appropriate: Masks may offer added protection, especially around vulnerable individuals.
Our Commitment at School We will continue to encourage good hygiene, clean shared spaces, monitor illness, communicate with families, and support students who need to stay home when sick.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our school community healthy. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
