Deep in the heart of Nashville, TN is lives Claire Baldwin, the DIY personality behind the polish & power tools brand. From wall decor to tables and even a new dog bed for her pup, Millie, Claire’s projects have grown and so has the interest of people who might want to buy her products. As her projects grew so did her interest in Desks / storage cabinets. This shift to creating woodwork with more function added another dimension to her projects.
With the addition of cabinetry, the change in project style meant moving on to bigger amounts and more complex compartments. But it’s not just about the movement, it’s about the right movement – strong but almost effortless – on the drawers of her projects. Like many people, Claire’s first source for slides was her local hardware store, and it wasn’t long before she traded out her cabinet’s other generics for Accurides and incorporated them into the design of a new multi compartment console. However, Claire isn’t resting on her laurels just yet: she’s already looking ahead to bigger and better projects. “There are quite a few different products I’d like to try for upcoming projects! One would be soft-close [3135EC and 3160EC] under-mount drawer slides. I would love to create a drawer with dovetail joinery that really focuses on the details – which the under-mount slides would allow me to do.”
