Dear GNBVT Families,
What a quick week! After two weeks off, we certainly moved through this one in a flash. With the school year moving so quickly, I want to take a moment to share our Final Exam schedule for students in grades 9–11. Please note that this schedule does not apply to seniors, as their final exam schedule will not be impacted.
Due to seven weather-related school cancellations, the last day of school will now be Tuesday, June 23rd. As a result, finals will take place on the following dates:
Final Exam Schedule
June 17 Odd Cycle – Finals Day 1- Blocks 1, 2, 3
June 18 Odd Cycle – Finals Day 4-Blocks 4, 5, 6
June 19 Juneteenth – No School
June 22 Even Cycle – Finals Day 1- Blocks 1, 2, 3
June 23 Even Cycle – Finals Day 4- Blocks 4, 5, 6 Last Day of School
I understand that these dates may conflict with previously scheduled family plans and could impact a student’s ability to be present for their final exams. Therefore, I would like to remind families of the Final Exam Make-Up Policy:
"The last four days of the school year are devoted to final exams for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors—two days for academic finals and two days for CVTE finals. No student will be exempt from taking finals. Make-up exams will not be allowed for unexcused absences. Make-up exams for excused absences (confirmed medical reason, court appearance, or death in the family) will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Principal. Final exams will not be taken in advance of the scheduled date." (Student Handbook, pp. 16–17)
Due to extenuating circumstances for this year, I will be considering confirmed family vacations (which must be approved by me). If your child will be absent during the scheduled exam days, please submit a make-up request via email to me at warley.williams@gnbvt.edu.
Thank you for your continued support, and I hope you have an amazing weekend.
Warm regards,
Warley J. Williams, III
Principal

Today we celebrate the heart, resilience, and determination of the GNBVT Coed Cheerleading Team.
Earning 2nd place and advancing to States next week is no small accomplishment. You competed at your highest level, left everything on the mat, and represented GNBVT with strength, unity, and pride. Every stunt, every count, every moment reflected the countless hours of preparation behind the scenes. Your discipline and commitment have not gone unnoticed.
This season has not been easy. There were heartbreaks, tears, setbacks, injuries, long practices, and difficult days. Yet through it all, you persevered. You chose to show up. You chose to trust one another. You chose to fight. That resilience is what defines this team and that is what this journey is truly about.
To our families, supporters, coaches, administration, and staff, THANK YOU!! Your encouragement, belief, and steady support make achievements like this possible. It truly takes a community, and we are deeply grateful for each of you.
As we head to States, carry forward the same passion, perseverance, and pride that brought you here. Compete with confidence. Trust your training. Lean on each other.
Forever and always — Go Bears.
