Big news for prior GNBVT high school students between 2003 – 2024! As of December 5, 2024, the MCAS exam is no longer a requirement for earning your high school diploma. This change comes after the ballot question approval in November 2024 eliminating MCAS as a graduation requirement.
What This Means for You:
- If you are a student in the class of 2003 – 2024 who met the qualifying score on MCAS and earned your diploma, this change does not affect you.
- If you satisfactorily completed all of your coursework but did not earn your diploma because you did not meet the ELA, math, or science MCAS requirement, you are now eligible for your diploma.
