9th GRADE INCOMING STUDENT DATES
- Application window opens: October 1, 2025, | Apply now at GNBVT Admissions Portal!
- Open House: November 23, 2025 | 7th and 8th-grade students will be sent an invitation prior to the event
- Student records: January – February 2026 | Attendance and Discipline records are posted on student applications from sending schools
- Application Deadline: March 1, 2026 | Applications received after this date will not be considered for admission. All required documentation must also be submitted by the due date.
- Qualified Lottery: on or before April 15, 2026 | 565 incoming freshmen who submitted a completed application and meet the selective criteria will be randomly selected.

10th, 11th & 12th GRADE TRANSFER ADMISSION DATES
- Open House: November 23, 2025 | Join us at GNBVT for a showcase of our programs and school!
- Application window opens: May 1, 2026 | Apply now at GNBVT Admissions Portal
- Application Deadline: July 1, 2026 | Applications received after this date will not be considered for admission. Applications will be reviewed and processed for immediate September openings. Applications received after that date will be processed and considered for acceptance on a waiting list program availability basis. It is the responsibility of the student and/or their parent/guardian to inform their high school and request final report cards, disciplinary report, and attendance report for the previous two years.
- Summer school ends: August 2026 (1st or 2nd week – TBD) | Transfer admissions will be determined after summer school concludes.
- Transfer admissions: August/September 2026 | Transfer admissions enrollment is dependent upon whether there are available vocational technical shop openings.

Students or their parents/guardian can view their application status on the Go2CTE site where they applied. Incomplete applications will be coded as one of the following: Started, Awaiting School Data, Need School Recommendation, Incomplete

Ensuring that school resources and admissions policies are dedicated to the students and families who legally reside within our community is a top priority. If you suspect a student attending GNBRVTHS lives outside of Dartmouth, Fairhaven, or New Bedford please let us know.

Please provide as much specific information as possible, including the student’s name and any details regarding their actual town of residence. All tips will be thoroughly and discreetly investigated. Thank you for helping us support and adhere to the District’s Admissions policies and procedures.

Applications received after March 1, 2026 will not be considered for admission. Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School accepts applications for incoming 9th graders and will begin on October 1, 2025.

Applications received after July 1, 2026 will not be considered for admission. Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School accepts applications for transfer students seeking admissions in grades 10, 11 and 12th will begin on May 1, 2026.

Qualified students are entered into a lottery after they are evaluated.
Students will be eligible for the lottery according to criteria listed in the updated Admissions Policy which will be posted on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Students transferring from Chapter 74 state-approved programs who relocate into the district are eligible to apply for fall admission or admission during the school year to grades 10-12 and will be evaluated using the criteria contained in this Admissions Policy. Students will be placed in a CVTE program if there are seats available within that selected shop.
