Visual Design & Communications senior Kaylee Tillson and Junior Adryans (Audry) Cimbron have been accepted into the extremely selective New Bedford Art Museum Teen Artist Internship Program (TAIP) for the 2021-2022 season.
The Teen Artist Internship Program (TAIP) is a program run through the New Bedford Art Museum that provides opportunity for young, talented, artists from our city to connect and gain hands-on mentorship from professional artists who are also from the greater New Bedford Area.
In order to be accepted into this competitive program, students must complete an extensive application process including an application, essay, and recommendation.
Students work together with their mentors and their work is displayed in an exhibition which will take place on February 19, 2022 from 12:00-3:00 pm.
In addition, Mr. Keith Francis, Visual Design & Communications instructor, has been selected into the 2021-2022 New Bedford Art Museum Exhibition of Southcoast Artists. The show will run from December 4, 2021 – May 8, 2021. This year’s Juror is Stephanie Haboush Plunkett, Deputy Director and Chief Curator of the Norman Rockwell Museum.
