GNBVT Keeps Students Updated Through Online Platforms
Throughout the school closure, Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech has been keeping students updated in real time through the use of the school website and social media platforms. Informational Technology and Digital Learning Director Maciel Pais and Media Technology teacher Michelle Alexander have been working around the clock to ensure that the information being put online is both current and accurate.
“Our social media platforms are the most accessible to parents and students and they really rely on it to give them information in a time that is so rapidly changing,” Mr. Pais said.
Throughout the school closure, these platforms have served as the hub of information and have allowed the school to get information out in a timely fashion.
“I think when people think of the school, they think of going to the website. It’s my job to make sure that essential and reliable information is being provided through that platform” said Ms. Alexander, who is responsible to maintain and update the school’s website.
In addition to information about the current state of affairs, both the social media platforms and the website have been releasing content from teachers and students that is focused on spreading positivity in these uncertain times. Students and parents can be assured that they can go to any of these outlets to get the most current information regarding our school closure.
