PORTFOLIO SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST
The Portfolio Committee will be holding a portfolio scholarship contest this year. There is approximately $1,000 in prize money available. All winners will be recognized as Senior Awards Night by the Principal for Career and Technical Education, Mr. Watt.
Students who wish to be considered as contest winner(s) must submit their portfolios for early scoring on Friday, February 14, 2020!
Please note, your portfolio should first be reviewed, scored and signed off by a career technical teacher prior to being submitted. These early submissions will be scored in the same way as all the other portfolios. Only portfolios that receive a score of advanced (4+) will be eligible for prizes! Contest portfolios should be dropped off in room B310A with Sue Demers at either 7:30am or at 10:49am (do not come during class time – before school or at the end of the day only) on Friday, February 14th, no contest entries will be accepted after this day! All remaining senior career portfolios will be due on the following dates:
- Seniors in Architectural Drafting, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, HAVC, Machine Technology, Legal & Protective Services and Visual Design should drop off their portfolios to Mrs. Erin Marcotte in room B149 by 8 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
- Seniors in Early Childhood Education, Environmental Science, Medical Assisting, Collision Repair, Fashion Design, Information Support Services & Networking, Cosmetology, Programming & Web Development, and Diesel Service Technology should drop off their portfolios to Mrs. Linda Costa in room E105 by 8 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
- Seniors in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Drafting, Nurse/Health Assisting, Business Technology, Media Technology, Metal Fab. & Joining, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Stationary Engineering should drop off their portfolios to Mr. Ron Quintin in room C104 by 8 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
**All late entries can be left with Sue Demers in room B310A on or after Thursday, April 2, 2020. They will be scored on a first come first serve basis!
Finally, no portfolio will be returned until every senior in the shop has submitted their portfolio for scoring! If there are any outstanding portfolios from a shop – students will have their portfolios returned by coordinators when they sign out in May.
