Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech Student Mentors Host PJs for Patients
“We wanted to do something different, but still made a large impact.”
GNB Voc-Tech student mentors are collecting child size pajamas to donate to Boston Children’s Hospital Oncology unit. This will run as this year’s mentor program’s first annual community service project. “We wanted to do something different, but still made a large impact,” said Dr. Larkin, who oversees the mentor program. “That’s when we came up with this.” Student mentors and mentee teams will be competing for a chance to win tickets to the Celtics vs. Nuggets game on December 6, 2019. This competition includes not only collecting the most pajamas, but also demonstrating exemplary behavior, grades, and attendance.
The pajamas will be delivered on December 6, to Boston Children’s Hospital before the Celtics game.
