Transportation would be provided if 10+ students are interested in the program.
Courses are offered every Monday from March 2 – June 15.
MS- 1211- Current Environmental Problems (offers 3 Credits)
It takes place Monday nights, 4-7pm. This course is the first course taken by Students majoring in Marine Science, Safety and Environmental Protection (MSSEP). It introduces Freshmen students to current global issues in the field of Environmental Science, Environmental Protection, health and safety in the workplace. These topics will provide students with a broad, general perspective of issues in these fields. Some topics will be revisited in a much deeper way during subsequent courses in the MSSEP curriculum. There are no Prerequisite.
EM-2212 – Introduction to Emergency Management (offers 3 credits)
Takes place Monday nights, 4-7PM. It is a initiation to the disciplines, authorities, and policies involved in the field of emergency management. The topics provided include: hazard analysis and underlying social and environmental processes, vulnerability analysis, hazard mitigation, emergency response and disaster recovery. There are no Prerequisite.
