Students in Legal and Protective Services volunteered at the 13th annual New Bedford Chowder Festival on October 7, 2018.
More than 60 Legal & Protective Services students along with their teacher, Ms. Kellie Martin, partnered with the South Coast Chamber of Commerce performing volunteer services at the festival. The event was held from 12 pm to 5 pm, and the diligent students stayed the entirety of the event. The students welcomed guests, gave out wristbands, sold soda, supply tasting cups, napkins and spoons to the restaurants. The students were responsible for the on-going clean-up of the tent area and they assisted the judges by bringing the samples to them. Each GNB Voc-Tech student worked hard and brought joy to the festival.
