Keeping up with the GNB Voc-Tech long-time tradition, our Electrical Technology students have been hard at work to light up Clasky Common Park for this holiday season. Our Artisans enjoy having this learning experience while making an imprint on our community. Under the supervision of the Electrical Technology Instructor Keith Kearney, the students wire the entire park and participate in the public lighting which takes place on December 9, 2018. Frank Goncalves’ Carpentry students, Scott Thibeault’s Plumbing students and Paul Mendez Welding students also participate in this event by constructing and designing props that are displayed in the park. In addition, the GNBVT SkillsUSA American Spirit team has decided to assist in the redecorating of the toy soldier props to represent Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech as well as New Bedford High School in order to truly represent our community. Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech has been involved in this program for a number of years. Our Artisans have enjoyed making this imprint on the community during the holiday season and look forward to their involvement in the years to come.
