Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech Awarded Gold in
SkillsUSA Chapter of Excellence Program
For the second year in a row, Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech’s SkillsUSA chapter was awarded Gold in the SkillsUSA Chapter of Excellence Program.
The chapter of Excellence program recognizes chapter achievements as they align with the SkillsUSA Framework. To be considered for this award, chapters develop a yearly action plan, using SkillsUSA’s program of work model. The SkillsUSA framework includes personal, workplace and technical skills. Student members and our chapter advisors invested many hours into this effort.
“We would like to give our sincere appreciation to the Chapter Officers and the other amazing students involved in our school’s chapter for their contributions to the CEP program,” Lori Russell-Pelsue, GNBVT’s Chapter advisor said. Achieving this honor is truly a team effort.
SkillsUSA is dedicated to fostering career and technical skills and ensuring that students are equipped for the world of work. Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech has been affiliated with SkillsUSA for a number of years and is a program that has benefited Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech students for decades.
