DIY: Want to know how to make your own face mask?

Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech Fashion Design Technology teacher, Amy Corriveau, teaches the community how-to make your own face mask.  Ms. Corriveau’s husband, Jeremy Corriveau, helped to produce and edit this DIY (do it yourself) video.  According to the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, the CDC recommends “wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.”  The cloth face coverings are just another measure to help assist the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 virus; however, it does not replace the prior recommended preventive measures of social distancing, disinfecting and hand-washing.  Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech appreciates the methods and ingenuity of its faculty and staff for using their trade skills to assist the public during this time.
