The Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech talent show held on April 5 featured singers, dancers, beatboxing, theatre, magic, a rock band, a pianist, and the first ever teacher act.  Mr. Tim Rodrigues and Ms. Tracy Sousa, the class advisors for the class of 2020, organized and produced the event, and it was a big hit!  With over 24 acts, the crowd was engaged and excited to be there to cheer on their classmates.

The first place winner was Abby Frias, second place was Judith Flores, third place was Josh Goncalves and the People’s Choice Award was won by Janelle Kavanaugh.

The teachers who participated in the teacher act were thrilled to be the first group of teachers to appear in the annual talent show.  In their act, the teachers danced through the decades. Decked out in clothes from their favorite decade complete with masks of some of your favorite members of administration and shop, the teachers rocked the stage and had a great time.

“We practiced a lot, and it was so worth it. We are so glad that we were able to contribute to the event,” one of the teachers remarked.

Overall, it was another successful talent show and elevated the expectations for future competitions.
