SkillsUSA Information

SkillsUSA is a national organization which encourages young adults that are in high school or college to participate against other vocational, technical schools. There are five different levels of competition: local, district, states, national, and international. The gold medal winners of the competitions go on to the next level. It is a considerable honor to be chosen by the judges to go to SkillsUSA. It means that they think you are the best.

Fifty-four state and territorial associations (including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands) participate in SkillsUSA. SkillsUSA will help young men and women acquire a quality education in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. It helps students to gain self-confidence and positive work attitudes in addition to strong communications skills.

Roughly 13,000 teachers and school administrators assist SkillsUSA as professional members and instructors. Over 1,000 corporations and trade associations enthusiastically promote SkillsUSA on a national level through financial aid and involvement of their people.
